Chapter Zero Brussels and Vlerick Business School enter into a collaboration to expand educational programmes for Boards of Directors on Climate Change
Chapter Zero Brussels, a network and forum for Directors to engage on Climate Change,
and Vlerick Business School, a European leader in executive education, announced today a partnership to further expand and develop the Director Climate Journey, a climate training and networking program for directors and full boards.
As a result of the unprecedented climate crisis, companies are facing risks as well as a growing number of opportunities. Climate-competent directors are beacons in this transition, guiding their organisations away from business models of the past and into a journey in which the companies can realise both business value and positive contributions to society. The Director Climate Journey provides a safe and confidential place for directors to become climate-connected and climate-competent.
The partnership will see the two parties co-organise the Director Climate Journey, which
includes 8 sessions with a mix of in-person and virtual settings, professionally facilitated and delivered by Vlerick professors, recognised experts, and thought leaders. Topics covered include: climate science, materiality and reporting, financial and legal implications, strategy and business transformation, and, of course, the unique role of the board in guiding their company through the transition. The next cohort will kick off their journey in March 2023, with applications now open for board directors, executives and aspiring directors.
